This course should be seen as the foundation to your Technical Diving Career and is the first step to becoming a Technical Diver.
For divers that are interested in learning more about richer nitrox mixes or diving knowledge in general, and expanding their in-water skills. The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course will certify you to use all nitrox mixes from 21% to 100% within your current certification level to a maximum of 40 metres.
The course duration is 3-4 days.
The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course comprises a number of Theory Modules alongside confined skill sessions and Open Water Training. It takes 3-4 days to complete the training.
TDI now offer on-line learning for the theory modules, so the bulk of the work can be completed before you come to Cyprus, giving you more time to spend in the water with your instructor.
You will learn about the Physics and Physiology of diving with nitrox mixes containing more than 40% Oxygen and the equipment considerations for such gases within Technical Diving. Dive planning using Gas consumption, Oxygen and Nitrogen limits and Thermal considerations are all part of making Technical Dives and will be covered in this training.
In-water, you will practice and demonstrate Buoyancy Control and trim while showing a good sense of buddy and self awareness and stress management. You will learn to manage a free flowing primary regulator and conduct shut-downs.
You will also learn to Switch regulators either for a gas switch or a shut down cycle and share air with a buddy or other team member.
This course can be completed with traditional back mounted cylinders or in a Sidemount Configuration.
