The Rescue Diver course teaches you how to look after yourself and others. Training includes self-rescue, assisting stressed divers, and managing simulated emergency scenarios both underwater and at the surface.

A first aid qualification like the Emergency First Response Course is a pre-requisite for the Rescue Diver Training.

Is the Rescue Diver course difficult?

The course is challenging but extremely rewarding, focusing on problem solving and diver safety.

Do I need a First Aid Qualification to take the Rescue Diver Course?

Yes, you do need an in-date first aid qualification. This means that you must have completed the training within the last 24 months to be valid. It is possible to take the First Aid training with us at Scuba Tech, which is the Emergency First Response Training. This is included in the Gold Package.

How many dives are included in the Rescue Diver Course?

A big portion of the rescue training are in-water exercises, which are not actually logged as dives. However, as part of your training at Scuba Tech, we do include a shake down dive and a number of other dives, with a minimum of 4 loggable dives as part of the course.

Why should I take the Rescue Diver Course?

The Rescue Diver Course dramatically improves confidence, awareness, and safety for both recreational and professional pathways. When you are aware of the steps you need to take in an emergency situation, it becomes easier to act if the need arises

What is included in the course price?

Course prices include professional instruction, training dives, learning materials, certification fees, and use of diving equipment during training. We also offer free pick up from any hotel/accommodation in Protaras, Pernera, Paralimni and some areas of Ayia Napa. Package inclusions vary depending on the level selected.
